About
Jessica earned a B.A. with highest distinction in economics and sociology (with honors) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997 and is a Phi Beta Kappa inductee. Jessica started her career in the health care practice of Cohn & Wolfe NY (now Burson) before starting her own consultancy more than fifteen years ago. In addition, she reviews novels for Publisher’s Weekly® and, during their elementary and high school years, was an active volunteer in her children’s schools, raising tens of thousands of dollars to support arts and educational programming.

When she steps away from her desk, Jessica makes long drives to visit her college-aged kids and watch football at the University of Michigan and Syracuse University. In her free time, she supports her local chapter of the Women’s National Book Association-Charlotte as a founding member. Jessica enjoys taking her dog, Brandi, for walks around the neighborhood, and is the long-time leader of her book club, which she joined twenty years ago. (Jessica encourages the group to read more science fiction.) Like many media specialists, Jessica is competitive, which is why she and her friends play pub trivia, forming a team named the Noodlers. They’ve come in second place twice. Jessica is based in Charlotte, NC.
